Kelvin Scoble is an ACA and tax advisor with more than 20 years’ experience in tax, accounting, financial management and forensic investigations in Australia, the UK and New Zealand.
Kelvin has performed a wide range of public and private sector roles having worked for one of the world’s largest oil companies and the UK’s chief commercial regulator before returning to complete a double degree in accounting and marketing. Following that he had a five-year stint as an auditor and team leader at Inland Revenue where he was a lead technical advisor on the aquaculture industry and appeared as an expert witness for the Crown in a major financial fraud trial.
Kelvin’s specific area of expertise is providing advice on all aspects of New Zealand tax law to a diverse range of domestic and offshore clients. He also continues to perform forensic accounting analysis in both the criminal and commercial spheres and is frequently engaged to help resolve issues between investors, business partners and other stakeholders.
Away from work Kelvin has had a life-long passion for cricket having represented Nelson and Marlborough at Hawke Cup level and spent several years as an overseas player in UK county leagues. He still turns out occasionally for his club side Wakatu and has sat on the board of Nelson Cricket for the last six years, helping to establish Saxton Oval as an international venue and bringing the 2015 World Cup to Nelson. Kelvin also enjoys spending time with family and friends and is hooked on the fantastic outdoor lifestyle we have in the wider Top of the South region.
