Melissa-Lee moved to Nelson to complete her Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Management at NMIT, then spent the next few years working in commercial environments in Wellington before making the move to Christchurch where she has been working in public practice for the last 12.5 years. Since moving to Christchurch she has completed her Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management through the Open Polytechnic, and her Master of Business Administration online through Otago University.
She has experience in businesses of varying sizes, and across varying industries, with most of the last 10 years spent dealing with dairy farming, Maori business, and technology clients.
Melissa-Lee has an interest in sustainability reporting, data analytics and automation, and has experience is a range of accounting software solutions.
She joined the Canterbury Westland Local Committee for CA ANZ in 2020.
Outside of work you can usually find Melissa-Lee at the gym, spending time with her dog, spending time with her niece & nephew, reading, or tackling projects around her home.
